overstocked stocked warehouse in need of housekeeping!

Well every now and then you have to straighten up a warehouse, in case you didn’t know.  It’s like evil elves come in during the night and move things around and sprinkle debris and dust on everything!  We do have 2 kitties that live here and it could be them….. taking revenge on me for making them leave the safety of the busy parking lot to become warehouse queens.  I’ll blog about them another time…….

As you can see, there’s a lot of stuff in here so I moved things around a little more to make a quirky display for my blog today.  Yes…. I do paint all the designs and then reproduce them onto canvases, pillows, placemats, beach bags, cards and more.  I wish I had more time to paint but somebody has to sell, ship and well…… keep house 🙂

Once upon a time, I painted a red seahorse….. well like 11 years ago!  It was the painting that would start my wholesale business, My Island.  I had to figure out what to do with this bright, detailed little painting so by researching a whole lot and 11 years later, it’s become a canvas wall giclee, greeting card, luggage tag, canvas tote/beach bag, acrylic magnet, coaster, key chain, tea towel,  and even an insulated tumbler!  Now don’t ask me how all this happened because explaining it would be like writing a book, not a blog post and can be pretty boring!  Some of these products can be found on my Etsy site, http://www.etsy.com/shop/GiftandHomebyGerri  and I’m always adding so if they’re not there now, they will be…. keep checking!
